I tried casting it but couldnt find it.
Do you actually want me to go buy it, then level it to 75, to then compare it to my other spells....

Or can some of you russians that have it levelled already just compare the damage and post it here so there's some info to go on?

Actually nvm...given its come up on the forums and isnt being used by everybody i can just assume its been over nerfed.
Sucks to be you, if meteor strike was your r90 (well its r100) of choice. Thats indev...

hint: if you shoot exploding charge at the same spot as meteor strike and you have a player standing outside of exploding charge splash range, meteor strike is still doing max damage to that player.
But yea, totally bad spell since it has lower stamina drain than exploding charge. So i must be a noob for using it...
inb4 someone says something about being noob and cant hit spells. fight a 5v5, where 5 people use meteor strike on cooldown. Not gonna be fun for the other team.

You are comparing a field aoe to a r90, you want to compare it to other fields like volcano, toxic, etc, but all one has to do is look at protections on gear to see the value of meteor (situational maybe, but still not bad in most cases).

Meteor shares cooldown with R90 nukes, not with field AoEs.

Meteor Strike should have just 0.002% of the server population. This spell should be just catchable after a very very long racial quest/feat order /+- 6-8month, and on top of specialistations (the same for Earthquake) and then it should be powered up so hard that it can make significant damage on buildings and vehicles.

this is what METEOR STRIKE and EARTH QUAKE should be...and not Kindergarten like now.

That sounds like a bug, but now that I know that makes it a really good spell.

what do you mean a bug? it has always been a R90/100 (Inferno/Magma Storm, Blizzard, Meteor Strike/Disintegrate, Unholy flames, Virtous wrath),  spell... they reduced cooldown, changed damage to bludgeoning and thus buffed it to greatness. Field aoe of earth is acid rain.

Disintegrate is the 90 being at 90 and acting like a straight projectile as the others, meteor should be a field aoe since it acts like one being unblockable and doing same damage anywhere in the field, so I think its a bug.

Meteor strike has a projectile and behaves like any other nukes. It definitely is a nuke not a field aoe

The Earth field AE is Acid Rain, not Meteor Strike
Yes it's blockable.

It's got a massive AE but does considerably less damage than a classic R90 nuke (2 ticks of 17 on someone in a hybrid suit)
It has its uses, mainly for when ppl are bottled up in sieges or when someone is trying to LOS you in a field fight, but most of the time a R90 will outperform Meteor in any measurable way

Edit: On DFO Meteor did Arcane dmg for whatever reason. Impact damage would make the most sense IMO

Before stating "facts" about how bad stuff is. Test it AFTER it has been changed in a patch. Of course, meteor strike has low stamina drain, only 5x2 front, 7.5x2 back. ~Same as disintegrate

How do the cast times of the two spells compare?
