Darkfallonline.eu Clan Directory for Darkfall Online
years ago (we started in 2006) we opened our ClanDirectory. The goal was to make it easy for players to find the "right" Home.

if somebody is interested how big the "darkfall community" was in 2008-2009-early 2010 can count the player-numbers of the clans.

we had different playstyles :

Anti = Anti-Pk (protect the casuals from the griefers)
Pk = PlayerKiller within the Alignment system
Conqueror = Kingdom focused (RPers)
FFA = That bullshit version (were after 2010 every clan was forced), PvP just for the sake of pvp
RPG = Role-Play-Gamers (lorebased)

in that time the ARAC = All Race Allowed Clans where just a few - mostly Pk/Griefers with people who gave a fuck about alignment, mostly based in the ChaosCities, and Chaos Outposts. (The global-bank-system fucked it hard) Who wanted pvp, went into the direction of the Chaos-Cities Areas - High Dangerous Areas - But alot of fun and trashtalk :P

in 2010 AV washed everything out and made ARAC Clans only and the alignment system useless. With this decision they lost massive numbers of mmorpg-players, rpers, lorebased gamers and questers, which were meant as meal for the pkers and griefers.

if the community wants this for DND .... shouldnt be a problem to make a new version

In the Darkfall Univers since 2005
in january 2009 i was still in a Darkfall Beta and did wait for a release... dejavu at it best!

What was changed in 2010 to "make ARAC Clans only" ?

What was changed in 2010 to "make ARAC Clans only" ?

gotta remember how much this guy actually played... not a lot lol. I think he's on about the no-patch-period of 2011 while we waited for the next big expansion after hellfreeze, that never came. Population dipped and was very very slowly recovering(without any updates?!?!) until the shutdown was announced which finally killed it, 50 players were left after that BUT, the real question is: how many 1000's filled both EU1 and NA1 for the launch month of UW? these are the ones that waited for an updated DFO, with shinier gfx, better optimized for modern pc's and an expected fuckton of content updates, since they all left, its pretty clear what the fan base wanted.

Its always the same with you.. not one statement without to try to insult.. guys it doesnt power up your own "arguments".

In 2010 - were the significant changes that players who do normal pvp in their own clans, just against other clans .. because av washed the racial factor out (group pvp in clan vs clan modus was the only way to go). These changes forced the player to become perma red - how tedious it is to comeback to blue with -80 you can see at the current vanilla version.

as admin of an old Fanforum - we catched every patch up who came ever out to and went life to the Client. Check the history.

First patch in 2010 came on January the 28th - the next on 17th February - 23th and 26th Hotfixes  - on 2th April 210 (portalchambers and strongboxes) - 7th October (Hellfreeze) some patches followed  - but here alot of players left Darkfall -

neck shot for the masses was the 3. March 2011 - FAST SKILLGAIN VIA MEDITIUM - CHURCHES IMPLEMENTATION AlignmentChanges..

its all known, its all registered, stop to think because you might have a "proper" ingame name in your pk crowd that you have eaten the truth about df. I dont want a Darkfall for 200players (where 200players can survive)

There was no insentive in-game to stay blue from day 1. The patches in 2010 did nothing to make situation better or worse. I would even say it was an improvement, because it actually made people either stay blue or stay red. Before the same mentioned patches you could see a red ganking you at the spawn and 15mins later you would see him by the bank in NPC city. The patches fixed that. The people would've quit anyway, because of incompetence from AV on most fronts.

Your reasoning and logic skills are comparable to a 12 year old really. This is last post that I will ever read you post from this account.
