This is why we trade though is it not? So you can farm the things easy for you to get and trade it for the things other people can easily get.

This isnt disney world, such fairy tales do not exist here.

I mean, even if i could sell my thick leather...that gold isnt going to get me much.
And even if i traded mats for mats...id still have to get them to a crafter to be made.
(granted, magnir>aradoth isnt so bad).
But spoiler alert, who am i trading with? Certaintly not in magnir...

So, regardless of how you look at this...its more than an hour to get a gear bag.
And i generally lose a gear bag within 15 minutes of wearing it, when i go out to pvp.

My best ratio therefor, between PvE and PvP, even if you believe in fairy tales, is 4:1.
Meaning for every 5 hours i play, i can PvP one.

Then factor in clan med points, needing to do dungeon dailies, and you'll soon realise that most of my time spend in the game isnt pvping. Which means im bad at pvp, which means i lose more, which means i need to farm more bags and oh...we came full circle.

This isnt the first time ive come across a player who unknowingly spends hours in the game, and compares himself to a real casual player with incomprehension. You play a lot, you have alts, you have (somehow) found people to trade with.
Good for you, but not everybody has that kind of time.

I am always spamming trade chat. If you had thick leather for trade I would trade sele, vel and theyril ore for it.

The point is if u have access to a mine or are close to a mine you can hit that and trade them rare ores once u have enough for another. I do hit my mine afk quite a lot, but I farm very little. I do not really count afk time towards game time played.

And that is exactly what some of us were saying for months - you can get most of the fighter gear while afk on mines, while you can get absolutely no mage gear in that way.

Please tell me there's people willing to trade:
* Cobras or Q5 taint
* Q4 enchanting mats (specifically: Sparkstone, Tooth, Bone, Greenleaf, Eye, Venom Sac, Horn, Claw)
* Giant Bone armor or Giant Bone (Q3) + Thick Leather
and that they will give me all of the above while accepting non-T rares + iron + gold

I dont understand the people still posting shit on the forums while they dont want to play. Just leave , turn around and walk away. Its not that hard.

Most mages just run around in extrav robes. Also I have bought / sold all of that stuff. if more people actively traded it would be much easier to get what you wanted.

Buy orders definitely the number 1 most important thing imo. It's the difference between spending a whole day running around the map and spending 1-2 hours farming something and converting the loot into what you need.

We can support Maghnir as a trade hub.

Oh thats where you get it wrong. I am no gamer at all.  DF1 is the only mmo I prolly ever played.  I just log in time to time to have fun, if theres nothing to do I log out again. Pretty simple, if the game dies ill find something else to do, dont think that will be playing games.  But imo theres too many excuses going on of why people cant do this or that. Its just sad

Right, let me afk gather from work...or while i sleep...or while im doing RL chores that keep life in my household agreeable enough to maintain positive relations.

Again, you really really underestimate the ammount of time you are secretly putting into this game to get your shit together to do what you want when you actively play.

On tuesday, i could play about 35 minutes, i emptied the mine i logged in next to and move to aradoth for the clan event for the day after.
As i arrived, the event got postponed, so...you guessed it...yesterday i moved back and emptied the mine and logged off.

Thats 2 days, with all i did was collect 260 iron ores and 6? rare ores.
And soon ill be "wasting" another 2 days because of moving to and back from the clan event.
I cant play 3 hour game sessions to do all the things, you gotta pick.

Time, which is an arguement i made long long ago during indev, is the only consistant value in the game.
And because of efficiency gaps, and ammount put in, individuals have very different perspectives on what something is worth.

On that note, ill bow out of this thread. Because im making people sad with my excuses for not playing the game more.

Damn you slow, it takes me like 1-2 minutes to put 3 characters on a mine. Why not just do it every so often?

well he has a point, im too lazy to get a 2nd char to do this kind of shit. So my bank wont be so stacked as yours. But still theres no need for me to farm to keep playing and pvping like you do.
