New full loot FPS MMO in development
This will be an interesting one to watch.  A direct competitor to Darkfall being developed by one of the world's biggest companies.

Intresting

Will they drop the full loot thing and make big safe zones 3 months after release?

Imagine Darkfall but with great graphics, Chivalry-style melee, being developed by a world-class company?  Not sure I'd ever see daylight again. 😉

I'll try every fucking game that even comes close to darkfall if it means I could possible replicate the glories shitshow of EU-1 launch of DFO. I couldn't even gather in bumfuck nowhere without getting jumped. That version is the one that needed local banking and no fast travel
Fair enough ill be there, Actually can we do it Thurs
(ive been lugging boxes of books all morning from a collection I bought and a little beat)

Sounds interessting, I hope they are not using Unreal engine for this, otherwise it's gonna be another MO-like shitfest.

You don't think that engine is too restrictive on player count? I feel like they could afford to build their own shit altogether

Recent video with some compiled info about the game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgH8Yq72T50

The video is heavily based on the techadvisor article posted by @sileno80, however there are some interesting bits from the video that are not mentioned in the article (keep in mind things can change or might not be presented accurately):
- Uses in-house developed engine (Amazon's Lumberyard).
- The team working on the engine are Double Helix Games ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Helix_Games )
- Engine supposedly integrates with Twitch directly
- There will be lumbering and destructable terrain.

Speaking of the movement, the game is action combat based and so does not rely on tab targeting (although you can press tab and lock to a specific target in a Dark Souls type of way)
Could someone explain how does that work?

I think you didn't read my post right (or maybe I didn't word it properly) but I would hate it to be UE. However in the video above they say it's using in-house developed engine (called Amazon's "Lumberyard").

And also the unofficial very early and low-fps footage of the game:

Keep in mind this was supposedly from pre-alpha, released 1 year ago.

it has no classes but does have a gear loadout and specialisation perks system, sound familiar?

an open world with full loot and the devs get that makes it a survival game, one to watch tbh.

Everything before public beta or some such could be considered vapourware, im done wetting my mouth over could be, would be vapourwares. There is no substitute to actual gameplay of fully completed product. No more promises, release it, we play it, we like it or we dont, its that simple for me.
