That was my response.. golems & boss mobs, erodach isn't a boss its a red mob. Why would the patch notes not just say Red mobs? Can we get clarification @Ub3rgames

Why patch notes don't go in depth or nobody has tested this since it was released is beyond me does anyone play actively?

In the future maybe consider uploading 1 video of a fight WITH ingame sounds and voice comms ONLY as well as your edited+music added version

When you can hear the sounds of spells its more immersive and even voice comms can add to the viewing experience



yes also searaven please consider to upload a black and white version, and a colorblind version
you should consider a upside down version and a backwards version
could you also do a spanish russian and french version
searaven you really should do a world of warcraft version
how about a mounted combat version
a DFUW version and a runescape version
if you could just make a commentary version and  a real life version
i didnt like the music you NEED to make a electronic music version and a muted version

Not that farfetched a question IMO, I always prefer ingame sounds and voice comms, even though I think rats comms are in Polish? Or are they not Polish only clan any more

Basicly yes, in larger volume spawns its sometimes off by 1 or 2 monsters...but thats minor with those spawn rates.
Leaving the spawn, meaning the monster wouldnt pop when the respawn is up, does reset it.
Leaving an alt does work, even when not engaged (last time i tried).

The system is...weird

Took me a few 1 hour gameplays to realise its flawed and how to bypass the flaws to make it work, just sit alts at spawns in un-hittable locations, don't know why the devs don't save the progress of a spawn to avoid another alt fall mechanic, but will they listen and change that? Doubt it.

Marc or GM's not even responding in game to bug reports, reported Erodach not spawning a champion after 7 kills? Spent 2 hours sitting down for 15 mins between 4 minute kills to find it not spawn a champion, very dodgy system that I'm guessing casuals have just accepted and not tested it?

Been playing an hour a night the last few nights got some questions on this champion system.

Is it the 4th round of spawns that spawns champion mob?
I've worked out if I leave the spawn to go to an adjacent spawn it doesn't save the amount of mob cycles I've gone through and resets?
Has anyone tested leaving an alt in a spawn after killing a mob then going to an adjacent spawn then coming back and to main spawn and mob still turns champion on 4th spawn cycle?

Anyone got some testing done on this system? Seems flawed to me.

RoA version having the speed of mobs and amount of mobs spawning back depending on how fast you kill them seems way more simplified and rewarding.

Tried Erodachs... I've spent more time sitting between 4 kills of erodachs than I have done killing them.

If I simply cycled 2 erodachs I'd been making 5x as much as waiting for the champion to spawn as well as getting tonnes more stat gains.. please someone break this system down to me how its suppose to be good?

As someone who has been here since day 1, I have a few questions, that I would love to have answered.

1. What changed after the armour patch in InDev? Did developers leave? This was a pivotal point for me in terms of communication, you stopped really taking majority feedback on board and prioritising what work needs to be done first and the general speed/quality and progression of patches fell.

2. Why did you go back on your original plan for mage schools, originally when we talked very early on and I believe some posts on forums (too lazy to find) the plan was too not lock spells out but to power up spells for that specialisation and also modify the spells.

Example:
Arcane Mage
Pick between 3 types of Wall of Force.
-Gravity WOF, as it is now.
-Protection WOF, blocks projectiles defending anyone inside.
-Push WOF, opposite of normal WOF.

3. Why did you launch so early? Was it money? Did you actually think the game was developed enough to launch? The unpolished state of the game for a launch was weak, magic schools not working, spawn scaling not working, multiple loot corrections messing up the economy, no sieges etc.

4. When are you hiring a UI developer if money isn't tight?

Remove the negatives from titles, just leave them as buffs.
I had more fun in inDev than launch, this sucks.

On communication side of things - just be honest, if you're working on something say you are, you've been quiet for a month where is the content to show for this?

No point trying to figure out why rawrgasm is displeased with the game. He played already and had his fun, albeit during the time when every mage had one school of magic at 100 and he was a maxed melee/archer but that was his choice.

I believe him when he says he's done with the game but using combat as the excuse is a better option to take.

Don't know where your getting at with this comment sounds like a shit attempt at a diss knowing full well I would flawless you in a fight.

It really speaks volumes when majority of people in this thread think nothing is wrong are the people still playing when the game is on its last legs literally 30 people playing, game is being forced to close down soon because ub3r cant pay the royalties to AV for the license, wake up.

Unpopular opinion hear I'm guessing or maybe everyone who doesn't play has stopped coming on the forums, I only came to comment cause video was linked in our discord, I find this combat severely bland and boring even compared to just the old Darkfall combat, it's literally just r50/bolt spam.

I cant believe everyone seems to think this is fine, there is no diversity with these changes, I still strongly stand by my original opinion that Darkfall did not die due to combat balance it died due to zero content, something Ub3r is still yet to address, actual content.

I've finally given up on the DF franchise I actually forgot it existed these past few months, but power to all the people still playing, I hope one day it can become the game it deserves to be.

I'll play if I'm bothered to log in & I find a duo, Jack is done with the game and ub3r after all the false promises / early release / mage destruction. Will only enter if other good players enter, don't want a shit show like the 1v1 winning the special Olympics, not even checked these forums in 6 weeks so w'ell see.

I think the day Rawr Gasm logs in the whole of the remaining Agon population should hold a feast in celebration to the gods that hes returned to grace us with his 1 v 1 skill and prowess. He might even enter the tournament and raise the skill bar to a whole new level destroying all the remaining inferior players - as the only other legends that could even touch him in a 1 v 1 aren't playing.

Boy oh boy we can only wish for such an occasion!

Sounds about right, Finnad linked me to the 1v1 tourney video today, I checked the brackets and only people I recognised were Russians you and Kye, seen you lost to Kye in final, Nad said you was melee/archery and Kye was air/necro mage so had to watch the video to see how a mage won.

Watched the video and it was you hiding behind a strongbox unable to close the gap because the tourney area was as open ground as open goes, what unbalanced terrain for a tournament.

I'm not saying I'm a 1 v 1 god at all, I'm average at best, it may have come across like that but you cant deny that tournament had a shit show of brackets to the actual amount of good players on the server, obviously 90% have already quit but the point still stands.

I'll happily enter the 2v2 tournament if i find a duo, I probably wont win but it would be nice to have good players enter.



Yup mage is very viable especially with the massive stam drain from air. Duel hayland/Kye and find out =p I think a lot of people quit because early game mage is horrible compared to melee/archery... also playing a mage in group can be painful if you get rushed by a few melee. I didn't duel any mages playing like KYE before fighting him in that tourny so was completely unprepared for that style, also the begone now having the lesser magic animation threw me completely... dueled KYE a bit after tourny and would deffo play it differently when facing a necro/air mage again.

I've not dueled any mages since like week 3, logged in today because of siege and like 90% of Lux are melee/archery players so can't find anyone to duel. Game is to stale to interest me at the moment needs tonnes more improvement and incentives for PvP. Not to mention low population local banking/markets is killing the little time I have to play if I did bother to invest time.

Now think that there is zero way of @Ub3rgames detecting this shit unless the player like this one is stupid enough to incriminate himself with a POV video.

EDIT: After further inspection, this isn't even pixel detect he locks onto the top left of the hitbox regardless of colour, so hes injecting into the game.
